Scotland's Moving Image Archive has been collecting and preserving films since 1976. We introduce you to the archive and guide you through getting the most from searching our catalogue. All of Scots life can be seen: adverts, documentaries, home movies, promotional films, amateur comedies, educational programmes and more. Whatever you search for, you are bound to come across film that will interest and surprise you. You may even spot yourself or someone you know!

The accessible toilet is located off the main corridor. There is changing space.

The car park on Bunhouse Road is managed by City Parking. Charges are as follows:

Mon-Sun 8am-6pm

  • 1 hour £1.60
  • 2 hours £3.20
  • 3 hours £4.80
  • 4 hours £6.40
  • 5 hours £8.00
  • 10 hours £10.00

Mon-Sun 6pm-8am, £2 flat rate.

There are spaces reserved for blue badge holders, free of charge with no time restrictions. For car park enquiries please contact 0141 276 1830.

Kelvin Hall is around 20 minutes walk from Partick Station

Subway

The nearest subway station is Kelvinhall.

By bus

First Bus services 2, 3 and 77 all stop outside the museum.

By Car 

Kelvin Hall is situated on Argyle Street, around 6 minutes from the M8.
