London Sinfonietta with Powerplant/Joby Burgess and Pete Furniss & Alex Harker
Giants of the music world come no bigger than Steve Reich and he takes over the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for a full weekend during which he will perform, talk, meet young composers and oversee all the performances of the weekend.
He comes to Glasgow with brand new work (Radio Rewrite performed by London Sinfonietta) and classics from the back catalogue. It all kicks off with a marathon night of Reich, with the man himself performing Clapping Music.
His own work is matched by tributes from Powerplant with Joby Burgess, Pete Furniss and Alex Harker who remix, reinvent and reinterpret the great man’s work.
