What's On in Glasgow Life

David Toop and Scanner have co-exited at the forefront of the UK’s electronic/experimental scene for decades, exploring fascinatingly interrelated but entirely parallel paths. To have them both live on this superb double bill is to grasp the sheer riches and range of new work in the field. 

Toop has worked in all genres of music from chart pop to opera. The Guardian said of him: “If the planet was a gigantic museum of noises, David Toop would probably be the principal curator of its ‘esoteric’ section.”

Scanner (Robin Rimbaud) is protean in whole other ways, traversing sound, space, image and form, creating absorbing, multi-layered sound landscapes.
