Dance International Glasgow 2017
The second edition of the biennial Dance International Glasgow (DIG) runs from Friday 21 April - Sunday 21 May, featuring a stunning range of work from some of today’s most exciting choreographers, directors and companies.
Much of the programme takes place at Tramway, the festival hub, with satellite events in SWG3, Govanhill Baths and some surprising outdoor sites (off-site strand announced soon).
Early bird tickets, available NOW, are set at a special discount price for both standard and concessions tickets.
DIG 2017 features:
Scottish Ballet with work from two of the hottest choreographers today, Ivgi & Greben;
Scottish Dance Theatre, whose Velvet Petal is part inspired by Patti Smith's book about her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe;
Shobana Jeyasingh with Material Men redux, which The Guardian tagged as 1 of the 5 must-see shows of 2017;
Mark Murphy's V-Tol with Out of This World, a genre-defying, mix of aerial acrobatics, projected film and special effects from the creative mind behind the Glasgow Commonwealth Games closing ceremony;
A free family day, inspired by dance but fetauring a wide range of fun activities, on Sunday 14 May;
....and much, much more besides.
The festival is programmed and produced by Tramway and Glasgow Life.
